Anne Menge’s paintings will be on display throughout August at Miss Zula’s in downtown Bozeman (40 West Main St.). There will be an opening reception on Friday, August 8th from 6-8pm during the Bozeman Artwalk.
My textural process is the layering of a wide spectrum of paint viscosities. Contrary to the classical painting method of thick layers over thin ones, I finish my paintings with a thin layer over the built up textural surface to allow the last layers to form themselves around the thicker mark making.
