Regina Gee lecture @ MSU: The Oplontis Project

The School of Art at MSU announces , “The Oplontis Project:  Retrieving an Ancient Roman Villa”, a view of the work of art historian Dr. Regina Gee.  Professor Gee, an Assistant Professor in the School of Art will discuss the work on the Roman Villa Oplontis on the Bay of Naples.  Gee continues to work with a team of academic and state archaeological institutions to preserve the artistic and cultural legacy of this site.  Gee is currently in charge of the descriptive catalogue for the wall paintings of the Villa Oplontis.  The lecture is free and open to the public. The lecture takes place Thursday, November 13, at 5:00pm in room 215, Cheever Hall on the MSU Campus
