“A Shared Vision” Art Exhibit @ the Emerson

The Emerson is pleased to present “A Shared Vision,” an exhibit of drawings and paintings by former Montana Trails Gallery artists including Aaron Schuerr, Tom English, Joe Wayne, Susan Blackwood and Howard Friedland. Several of these artists’ works were lost in the gas explosion that impacted the gallery in downtown Bozeman. These well-known regional artists will be showing landscape and figurative drawings and paintings and some plein-air sketches in the Emerson Lobby. The work is characterized by a passion for atmosphere, light, and mood coupled with an intense observation of nature. Several of these artists meet on a regular basis in the pursuit of excellence in their work, and they also give back to the community by teaching popular classes and workshops.

Meet the artists at their opening reception on Art Walk night, Friday June 12th, 5 – 8 pm with an informal gallery talk at 5:30 pm. For further information about our exhibit programs, consult our website: http://www.theemerson.org or call Ellen Ornitz, 587.9797, Ext. 104.
