In May 2010, Josh DeWeese and several colleagues traveled to China and Korea to research historical and contemporary use of indigenous ceramic materials and processes in the two countries, and to establish future exchange opportunities for Montana State University students and faculty. DeWeese will talk about his travels on Thursday, Sept. 30, at 7 p.m. in the Jessie Wilbur Gallery at the Emerson Center for Arts and Culture. The lecture is free and open to the public.
A ceramic artist and assistant professor of art at MSU, DeWeese is the former director of the Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts in Helena. He has exhibited and taught workshops internationally, and his work is included in numerous public and private collections.
