Opening reception in tart on Friday, October 8th, 2010 5-8pm
Bozeman artist Nick Mask explores the relationship between water and rock, animal and habitat in a series of new oil paintings opening in tart. Blurring the line (sometimes literally) between landscape and abstract, Mask creates gestural, evocative paintings of creeks, rivers, and wildlife. The artist and tart will be donating a total of 60% of the proceeds from the sale of one of the paintings to the Gallatin Valley Land Trust to help preserve open space and trails in the Gallatin Valley, where Mask’s paintings are created.
tart is in room #107C of the Emerson Center, 111 S. Grand Ave. Call 406-582-0416 for more information. The show will be on display through November 11th.
