tart unveils a new collection of shadow boxes and paintings by Livingston artist Laura Poinsette, featuring portraits of disguise and camouflage. Inspired by the restlessness that often accompanies this season of late winter doldrums, this series illustrates the ability to transport ourselves away from our own reality using our most available vehicle, physical transformation.
A portion of the proceeds from this show will be donated to Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter and Stafford Animal Shelter, caring for stray animals in Gallatin and Park Counties.
Opening reception on Friday, April 8th from 5-8p.m in tart, rooms 107B & C in the Emerson Center, 111 S. Grand Ave. Call 406-582-0416 or visit http://www.tartique.com/ for more information. The show will be on display through May 11th, 2011.
