Montana Institute of the Arts Show

The Bozeman Public Library Foundation and the Montana Institute of Arts – Bozeman invites the public to the Art Opening Reception for the group’s juried art show on Friday, July 8, 5–8:00 pm. The exhibit features 42 individual participating artists using a variety of mixed media, including oils, watercolors, and drawings. The artwork will be on display in the Library’s Atrium Gallery throughout the entire month of July, and the opening coincides with the Downtown Art Walk.

This is the 10th annual juried art show for the Institute. This year’s juror is Curtis Tierney of Tierney Fine Art. Mr. Tierney has held numerous positions as art juror and trustee to public art institutions. He is a fifth generation Montanan from a family of agri-livestock producers with personal interests in art collecting.

The public is invited for food and drinks and to meet the many artists during the reception and awards presentation. All artwork is for sale, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Bozeman Library Foundation to benefit the Library. Contact Paula Beswick at director@bozemanlibraryfoundation.org or 582-2426 for more information about this show or the gallery.
