Thanks to generous participation in a fundraising auction, Turman Larison Contemporary gallery of Helena is able to provide approximately $5200 in one or more grants to artists in any medium–visual arts, music, writing… Final details of the application will be forthcoming, but it will call for a specific proposal, along with an art sample. Applicants must live within 125 miles of Helena (which includes Bozeman) and have no current connection to the Turman Larison Contemporary. The deadline for application will likely be in June, with a fairly rapid decision process. Check this post for updates, or look to their website at turmanlarison.com.
Bozeman will be well represented at a show in Helena that opens March 28. The TURMAN LARISON contemporary gallery will be featuring photography by Tom Ferris and paintings by Jim Madden and Suzanne Truman, along with sculpture by Daniel Tackett and jewelry by Bonnie Lambert and Zoe Barnard. The exhibit runs March 28 – April 26, with an opening reception March 28, 6-8 pm and an artist talk March 29, 11 am. The gallery is located at 337 N. Last Chance Gulch in Helena. Call (406) 443-0340 or visit the gallery web site for further information. See you there!
