Posters by graphic designer McRay Magleby @ MSU

The Helen E. Copland Gallery proudly presents the work of master illustrator and graphic designer McRay Magleby in a month long exhibition of 60 hand-pulled silkscreen posters. Known for his elegant illustration style and exquisite use of typography, Magleby was named by graphic designer’s magazine, HOW, as one of the twelve most influential designers in the country. Over the years he has worked on such diverse projects as Salt Lake City 2002 Olympiad posters, U.S. postage stamps, and Tibetan rug designs for Robert Redford’s Sundance product catalog. A respected professor of graphic design at the University of Utah and formerly the creative director for BYU, McRay manages his own studio, Magleby and Company.  The poster exhibition will run from January 12 through February 13, 2009 with an opening reception on Tuesday evening, January 20th, from 5 to 7 p.m.  As always, receptions are free and open to the public.

The Helen E. Copeland Gallery is located on the second floor of Haynes Hall on the MSU-Bozeman campus.  Haynes Hall is on 11th Avenue across from the duck pond.  For more information, please call Erin W. Anderson at 994-2562.`

I would appreciate knowing if there was a print catalogue produced for this show.

I would be interested in purchasing it.

    Thank you

Unfortunately, I’m sure there was not a catalog for the show. I would encourage you to write to Magleby directly to find out if any catalogs are available. Good luck!
